As I'm typing this, I am considering patricide. Seriously. That useless man has never treated us with anything akin to affection, or at least, anything like what he lavishes on his dear mother (whom, with all due respect, should just keel over faster and stop prolonging everyone's pain); is bringing my brother to do his secondary school registration so difficult? You've got a CAR. The petrol is COMPANY SPONSORED. So they had an orientation speech that you didn't expect. SO WHAT. Just shut up and sit through the damn thing and stop embarrasing my brother but shouting over the phone, because, I swear by everything holy, I am going to pick the biggest fight that I've given you in my sixteen years when you get back if you make him miserable on your account AGAIN. Three days in a row you've been stomping into my room and waking me up with black faces and barking at me to do chores before I EVEN GET OUT OF BED. WTF is this. Is that the only thing you can do? Take your insecurities out on your children?

I can't wait to turn 21. Or at least 18. Then at least I have the authority to take charge of things. Protect my brother. Move out. Do something. I hate being useless. At least my mother isn't useless.

I have a dental appointment at two, and later I have to rush back and get ready to leave for Bern's party.

FUCK THIS ALL.

Went material and wig shopping with Cherry, Pei Hui and Kazuki yesterday. After PH left, the three of us were on the bus and it was UTTER HAVOC. SPLAT SPLAT. *lol* Cherry came over and we watched the Cosfest DVD. And omg. Kyosuke, I am so sorry. *buries face in hands* I am sort of grateful that I didn't turn up for Cosplay Extravaganza (cause I was in Malaysia hurhur) - I heard there were FANGIRLS. Aiie.

Watched GSDestiny 10 today. Okay, Gilbert stop hitting on Asuran already! Can't you see the poor boy's all messed up after Klueze?!

I have a new favourite character: Mia Campbell (aka Lacus' clone, but I prefer to think of her as a "double")

(pure spoilers spoilers spoilers ahead!)

[Mia and Asuran are having dinner. Mia still thinks Asuran is Lacus' fiancé.]

Mia: Ah! That's right! Did you see me give that speech today?

Asuran: Ah?

Mia: How was it? Were you watching?

[Asuran looks away.]

Mia: *softly* Was it bad...?

Asuran: Ah, no! It wasn't bad.

Mia: Ah, really?!

Asuran: Yeah, you looked similar... almost identical to the real one.

Mia: *brightens tremendously* Yaa~ I'm so happy! I'm so glad that Asuran said that!

[Asuran sighs softly and looks sadly away.]

[They continue eating for a while.]

[Asuran is looking out of the window at the city below.]

Mia: I've always been a fan of Lacus-san.

[Asuran's eyes widen and he turns to face her.]

Mia: I loved her songs and I always sang them. Even back then, people told me that I sounded like her, but... Then one day, I was suddenly called in by the Chairman.

Asuran: *sigh* And that's why you're doing this?

Mia: Yes! *nods* He told me, "I need your ability for the sake of PLANT right now." That's why!

Asuran: It's not your ability that we need. It's Lacus'.

Mia: *stops cutting her food* That's true, but now... No, it's not just now.

[She looks out of the window. Asuran is looking at her.]

Mia: Lacus-san is always needed by everyone. *smiles* She's strong, beautiful, and kind. Mia is never needed by anyone... *looks up and smiles* So, I don't mind if it's just for now!

[Asuran looks surprised.]

Mia: *clasps hands* If I can help the Chairman and everyone else in the place of Lacus-san, who isn't here right now, then that alone makes me happy! I'm really happy that I was able to meet you, Asuran!

... Oh, god. I can't believe I transcripted all that.

I believe this conversation speaks for itself. Less than 3 minutes and I'm sold. If only pink wigs were more affordable. ^^;

My feelings at the moment can be summed up with a single emoticon: >O

This house is so much quieter when he's not around - isn't that what you like? NOW you want to kick up a fuss? Like, what's your prerogative? WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PREROGATIVE?

Go, then, if you feel so much like it, go. With all due respect, madame, PLEASE GO TO HELL.

There. I feel much better.

Cellphone!angst seems all the trend at the moment. Stupid Starhub keeps delievering my incoming messages late. My card is also running low, so it refuses to send messages out AT ALL. T^T Shall have to buy a top-up card tomorrow ARGH.

Watched GSD 8 yesterday. OMG PLOT DEVELOPMENT. I am in great shock. Never has this stupid series moved this fast. @.@; Shinn x Kira is less... violent than I thought. Yeah, and Asuran doesn't know how to propose. *smacks forehead* Then again... *imagines alternative scene*: "Verily, I say unto thee, my love, my meadow-sweet, thou art the fairest blossom in my eyes! Would you not spare me the anguish of seeing another cast his gaze upon you so? Pray take this ring as pledge of this unworthy one's undying affection-" *TWAP* "Just GIVE ME THE DAMN THING ALREADY.")

^^;;

Cherry put up our G-Seed "commercial" RP logs!! OMG I forgot how hilarious these were. XDDDD Go read! Try not to be drinking or eating anything when you do, though. >D

Today I turned sixteen.

First and foremost, thanks to everyone who messaged, called or left a tag to wish me "Happy Birthday". MUCH LOVE!!! <333

Today went great, with little mishap. Oh, evil sore throats, how I hate you.

Met my darling Aurenn who gave me a rose (which I am hanging upside down and drying and making into a bookmark), a mad hand-drawn card, a Legolas postcard. Then we tromped off gleefully to NYCD where we stuffed ourselves with dessert (for brunch) and terrorized the waiters by bringing our own apple spritzer. Went to void deck and listened to her play her guitar (BTW SHE PWNZ) and sang along. <333 We both bought Sugar & Spice lipbalm from The Body Shop SQUEE~ I love this verily I say.

Met Leslie and later Terence at Junction 8. Spazzed, walked around, left to go for dinner. Lo~ng busride home. Orchard Road at night is pretty all lit up and Christmas-y.

My vocal range has shifted down yet again. OMG. I still have my "falsetto" (what made me a mezzo-sophrano last time), but now I am well and truly an ALTO and on my way to becoming contra-alto, if I train. How vaguely disturbing. There's a block of typical "female range" notes I can't reach anymore (eg. Seesaw's "Anna ni issho datta no ni"). I can only sing 'guy songs' now. O.o;;; Oh well. Preferred male vocalists all along, anyway. XDDDDDD Damien Rice! Vertical Horizon! T.M Revolution! Trent Reznor! Rufus Wainwright! Live! John Rzeznik! ONE DAY I MIGHT EVEN SING BONO. And that day I will go sign up for Singapore Idol and perform "It's My Life"!!! XDD Just kidding.

Anyway, off to sleep before I fall over at the keyboard. Oyasumi~ <3

Omg, Taufik won. Singaporeans are not as deaf as I thought. And Sylvester sang Bon Jovi's "It's My Life" and BUTCHERED it, but like, whatever TAUFIK WON ANYWAY!!! Cry, little Taiwanese boyband fangirls, CRY! MWAHAHAHAHA!

Woke up this morning at six, feeling perhaps only a little less ill than I did yesterday.

Stupid 'flu is SUPPOSED TO BE GONE, but has been replaced by mild sinusitis. Popped Panaco (codine sulphate + paracetamol. yum.) and curled in bed and died.

No way am I going to be able to get out of house tomorrow in this state. Argh.

...Today is not a good day. Try me again some other time.

Downloading Gankutsuou 7 now, after being so cruelly seperated from my computer the whole of yesterday evening. Fantastic rate; if it keeps up I should be able to watch it before I leave the house later.

Last night, I was forced to watch some "Singapore Idol documentary" (on Channel 5, I think) with my mother. OMG. I HATE this programme with the burning passion of a thousand fiery suns. I was vaguely annoyed after that girl, er, Olinda got voted out - I used to watch reruns just to listen to her singing. But THIS. THIS IS STUPID. I was expecting the "documentary" to be a recap of the entire show thus far, not some media hype about a showdown between Taufik and "Sly".

And speaking of Sylvester, he utterly turns me off. "Bad-boy rocker appeal", like, hello, WTF? The boy has some nerve comparing himself to Axl Rose (ie. demi-god, Guns N' Roses frontman, definetely putting on the damage there hurhur ahem yes). And my mother thinks he's cute. Like Mick Jagger. Ye gawds above and below. Sylvester is as much a "rocker" as... Kira Yamato is a balanced, well-adjusted boy in complete control of his emotions. Yes. That's it. Think, Singaporeans, think, do you really want to send a wannabe who can't string together a decent sentence in English in an interview to represent us in the international stage? World Idol humiliation, I say. For shame. Oh, and Sylvester, your fans can't spell. Sorry, Sly.

Oh, and if he sings: 1. Bon Jovi, 2. Bono (U2), 3. Bruce Springsten, 4. John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), or, 5. Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) for his finale GOD HELP ME I WILL SO GO DOWN TO THE MEDIACORP STUDIO AND SMASH HIS LEERING FACE IN WITH A BASEBALL BAT.

Can't you tell his sort just rubs me the wrong way?

By the by, I'm rooting for Taufik. =D

Went for the Animaxiation Fair yesterday as (sortof) Misa from Deathnote. OMG. It was tiring, but super fun. *glomps minna* Thanks for sticking around with me~

OMG THERE WERE GUNDAMS. Freedom and Justice!!! I was like some mad fangirl, squealing and attempting to grope them, much to the horror of passerbys. Scene: One goth-punk in two purple-beribonned ponytails screaming "OMG FREEDOM AND JUSTICE WAH THEY ARE SO HOT!!!", along with another equally crazed Milliaria in a neon orange dress, both dashing towards them with arms outstretched. OMG THE MECHALOVE. IT PWNZ ME TOTALLY.

Stayed out past ten for the second time in a WEEK. This must be some sort of ungodly coincidence.

One conclusion: Whilst my camera is lovely for outdoor photoshoots IT COMPLETELY RUINS INDOOR PHOTOS. 2.1 megapixels does not cut it in dim lighting. Damn. (And I so did like my outfit.) If anyone has uploaded their pictures, please share~~ *camps out on MSN*

Baked shortbread biscuits today out of boredom, and to use up the flour and butter lying around. Today I rectified the problem I've been making all along in my experiments recipes: too much butter. I weighed everything according to the conversion guide (*cough* for once) and omg my cookies turned out so pretty. Cause these aren't real drop cookies; they can be moulded slightly before baking.

Too bad I only made half a batch (...not enough butter.) Nevermind, I shall perfect the recipe and bake these for photoshoots! >D

I hate the PAE forms they are giving me such a headache I hatehatehatehatehate this all. Science or Arts, and suddenly my life is At the Crossroad Dum DUM WTF. Like, go away, Evil Big Decisions, and let me fret over silly things like what to wear for Saturday, or something.

Grad night dinner report: Food was awful, seat was across the room from my other friends, there were too many girls in sparkly showy dresses ARGH I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE WORN MY GOTHIC LOLITA OUTFIT RAGE. Spent most of the time talking with Charis, snerking, and distressing waiters. XD Was quite fun, anyway, but left early when Kazuki came by. Orchard Road is really pretty and surreal at night. I dislike it in the daytime though. Photoshoot time~ (but how on earth am I going to find an excuse to be out on the streets at ten in the night?)

I am eating toast and getting fat. On Saturday, I will wear my black bodice-top and a pleated skirt and be stoned to death, but frankly, after walking around Orchard Road in formal full-length dress and sparkly heels, I think this will be nothing.

Tonight I'm going for my graduation dinner. Funny, how secondary four passed by so quickly. New Town Secondary is, and forever will be, an absolute Pit of Voles and should be buggered with a sitar etcetra, etcetra, but I will certainly miss the friends I made here.

(Watch this space for mauldin ramblings this time tomorrow.)

Showered, eating the chocolate oatmeal bars that Hui Wen gave out as farewell presents, and am considering watching Gankutsuou 6. Refuse to download School Rumble yet, will wait for dashfansubs to release theirs. =P

Plugging Jars of Clay's "Fly", possibly the happiest song I own. If anyone wants the mp3, MSN me.

For Bernadette:

I heard this song years ago, but I haven't really found out what it means to me until recently. This is for you, love (systol to my diastole ahaha).

I've been loving you a long time
Down all the years, down all the days
And I've cried for all your troubles
Smiled at your funny little ways
We watched our friends grow up together
And we saw them as they fell
Some of them fell into Heaven
Some of them fell into Hell

I took shelter from a shower
And I stepped into your arms
On a rainy night in Soho
The wind was whistling all its charms
I sang you all my sorrows
You told me all your joys
Whatever happened to that old song
To all those little girls and boys

Now the song is nearly over
We may never find out what it means
But there's a light I hold before me
And you're the measure of my dreams
The measure of my dreams

Sometimes I wake up in the morning
The gingerlady by my bed
Covered in a cloak of silence
I hear you in my head
I'm not singing for the future
I'm not dreaming of the past
I'm not talking of the fist time
I never think about the last

Now the song is nearly over
We may never find out what it means
Still there's a light I hold before me
You're the measure of my dreams
The measure of my dreams
